And no longer are we limited to the traditional cedar and redwood hull materials, we can use any number of exotic species of wood, carbon fiber or Kevlar, or maybe make a bold statement with a bright red one...and they can produced in custom sizes. The finish is as smooth as glass and creates a striking contrast against the rough, dry surface of a stone fireplace. And there is a built-in shelf located on the inside just below the gunwale to display your decor.
Available finishes include wood strip, carbon fiber, kevlar, or any other color (send us your swatch). The most common mounting method is screwing 2 threaded studs into the wall and securing the mantel with nuts. The shelf that sits inside and just below the gunwale is removable to ease this task.
